You can wide your image by itself or by widening whole blog. Its tricky to wide image. You can choose what you think best for you. If you wide your image than you do not need coding.

How To Make My Blogger Header Image Wide?

How to Widen Image ?

Open image editing software that you want to use.

Open header image in software.

Change size of header image.

Now login to Blogger.com

Go to "layout".

Click on "Edit" on header to add image.

Open header image in blogger.

Click on "Save".

How to Widen blog ?

Click on "layout".

Click on "Customize".

Click on "Adjust widths".

Wide your blog.

Click on "Apply to blog".
