Google may fix one of the biggest annoyances in its latest Android update

If you are using Android 5.0 lollipop then you are one of those small fraction of Android phone owners which have latest Android update running on their phone. You may also have same complain like other users that A there's no silent mode in Android 5.0 lollipop.

Google may re-introduce silent mode feature to Android in Android 5.1 update. Company said one their blog that they are testing it.

Android 5.1 is moving on Android One phones in Indonesia. Soon it will be available for Google Nexus devices.

Android Pit has reported that there will be the list of improvements and bug fixes in Android 5.1. This is the first time since December that we heard about this update.

According to Android Pit, here is the list of fixes:


  •     General improvements in system stability
  •     Silent mode added after missing on Android 5.0
  •     Fixes for sudden app closures
  •     Improved RAM management
  •     Excessive consumption of network devices when used Wi-Fi fixed
  •     Improved battery management
  •     Problems with Okay Google function solved
  •     Issues with wireless connections fixed
  •     Other improvements and changes
  •     Some sound problems experience by certain devices fixed
  •     Notifications problems solved
  •     Changes in the Material Design color palette

There will be minor fixes like "notifications problems solved" and major one like Silent mode that users been complaining since launch of Andoird 5.0 Lollipop. So we are eagerly waiting for Android 5.1 update.
