Google has Shut Down Classic Google Maps, Will Introduce New Lite Version

Here comes the big News! Now Google has shut down classic version of Google Maps and it will be replaced by a lite and faster version.

May be you not even notice any change, as the classic version of Google Maps is not in use since 2014.

But if you are using older browser or had bookmarked old classic Google map version then you will get an update. Chances are that either you will be introduced to the new Lite Mode or automatically be updated to the current version.

If your current browser does not meet the requirements to run Google maps then you can shift to lighter version of maps.

Don`t worry, you will not lose any data in this shift. You will still access saved places, addresses, custom maps, and other information.
