Interview with Rene Rude (Blogger & Writer) : Journey of a Professional Blogger : eAskme |
Q. Please share about yourself and your story to enter in blogging?.
Ans: I started blogging when I was in middle school. It wasn't "actually" blogging as you would think of it. I had a Blogger account and wrote about clothes. It was terrible, I was never good at spelling and grammar so the posts were all over the place. Not only that but I only wrote on it once or twice a month so it got no traffic. The blog wasn't good in the slightest but it opened me up to how fun blogging could be. I loved taking pictures to include in my blog and planning out my articles.
Blogging has become one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. There is just something about having something to write about and letting complete strangers read what you have to say that is extremely enjoyable for me.

Q. How the idea to make your own blog came in your mind? How you found the right people to develop it and what big obstacles you faced?
Ans: Well I started Blogging when I was a lot younger and I decided to do that because I liked to write and wanted to have some sort of hobby. I wont talk about the Development of that little blog but the development of the blog i work on now. Its called Rudes Review, my husband and i work on it together. I got the idea when I was working on my portfolio blog. I have always loved watching movies, , TV shows, reading books and playing videos games. I wanted to write about something that I really enjoyed doing my portfolio blog didn't have the space or niche of that so i started Rudes Review with my husband. We got a lot of help from a friend of ours who works in SEO for the layout and theme of Rudes Review.
Q. Can blogging really change someone`s life?
Ans: I believe it can. Blogging has impacted my life since I was in high school, I don't know where my life would be if I hadn't started blogging. Not only that but it has brought my husband and I closer because we have something to work on together that we both really enjoy.
Q. What are your favorite Internet marketing tools?
Ans: I use a lot of social media, I can spend hours on there just talking to people about blogging and getting traffic from there. I specifically love twitter, i like that you can talk to anyone.
Q. What is your daily schedule? And how do you maintain your tasks?
Ans: Well I wake up extremely early in the morning and go to sleep extremely late. The first thing I do when I get up is go on social media for an hour and talk to people about blogging and my niche while I get dressed and ready. Then I work for a couple hours on my freelance writing. when i have finished that I go and either read a book, watch and movie, or TV show to write a review of on my Rudes Review. Then I spend a hour or two writing up my reviews. By that time its closer to the end of the day and I go on social media and promote it some more. i submit my work to social book marking sites and try to get it out there.
Q. Blogging have different definition for different person. What is it for you?
Ans: Blogging means dedicating time and effort into writing something online. It doesn't matter what your niche is or how good you write. You can blog about anything or talk about anything. Blogging is kind of like creative Word vomit, its a hobby as well as a career. It is something you can spend hours obsessing over or never think twice about it. Blogging is a type of art, some people are good and some people probably shouldn't take their blog off of private.
Q. Which are your favorite blogs?
Ans: I really like the nerdgirloffical and the-tusk. I like a wide range of blogs. I don't like to stick to one niche either. If that blog has something to say and its a topic I really enjoy it will instantly be on my list of favorites. But the-tusk and nergirlofficial are two of my top favorites.
Q. How much time do you spend on social media promotion and SEO of your blog?
Ans: I spend a couple of hours on Social media each day, 99% of that is dedicated to Rudes Review. I would say I spend at least 3 hours on social media platforms in any given day, this is of course over the course of the day not all at once.
Q. How much time do you spend for blogging daily?
Ans: I spend a hour or two writing for my blog but I spend a few extra hours researching, watching, reading, and playing whatever i will be reviewing each day. So if I counted up my time for every aspect of blogging, from promotion to writing to preparations it adds up to a lot.
Preparation- 2 hours writing- and hour and a half
that adds up to at least 5 hours a day just working on my blog.
Q. Finally, I would love to have your message for my readers and any suggestions for newbies?
Ans: If blogging is something you enjoy as a hobby or want to try out don't be afraid to do it. there are thousands of bloggers out there. most of them would love to help a newbie get to know the ropes. Blogging is a great activity that is open to anyone. go for it!
