Now LinkedIn has launched the swipe-up feature to help marketers and businesses online.

Without linking to the external website, LinkedIn stories were not extremely useful for marketers or businesses.

Now LinkedIn users can add links to their business sites or other pages in LinkedIn Stories.

This will help you to boost traffic from LinkedIn to your website. This will be another traffic generation tool to drive more traffic.

Now you can link out to anything such as a website, blog post, job listing, etc., to grab people’s attention.

How to Add Link to your LinkedIn Stories:

  • Create a Story
  • Tap the chain icon
  • Add link under “Add a Link.”
  • Choose action button
  • Click on “Done”
  • Click on “Share Story”

You should preview the link before hitting the done button to ensure that people land on the right page.

But you can only create LinkedIn stories using your smartphone.

LinkedIn stories disappear after 24 hours. The maximum video length is 20 seconds.

Eligibility to use LinkedIn Swipe-up feature:

All the LinkedIn pages can use the swipe-up feature for stories.

LinkedIn members can also use the swipe-up feature if they meet the following criteria;

  • Must have 5000+ connections
  • Add Follow button as an action button on LinkedIn profile.

You can change the action button from Connect to Follow from privacy settings.
